The HiPipo Music Awards are officially back for a landmark 15th edition, celebrating fifteen editions of recognising, amplifying and honouring the artists, songs and cultural forces shaping Uganda, East Africa and Africa’s music story.

Public nominations for the 15th prestigious HiPipo Music Awards officially open on 17th August 2026 and will run until 6th September 2026, giving music fans, artists and industry stakeholders an opportunity to nominate the talent and music they believe defined the year and deserve a place among the best.

This milestone edition features 15 award categories, including the return of Best Diaspora Act and Best Gospel/Inspirational Act, alongside major honours including Song of the Year, Video of the Year, Best Female Artist, Best Male Artist and the ultimate Artist of the Year.

The journey will culminate on 13th November 2026, when the winners are celebrated before thousands of music enthusiasts at the Kampala Serena Hotel in a landmark celebration of music, culture, creativity and fifteen editions of HiPipo Music Awards.
